Give Reader all the Lego!!!

Reader here!

Are you a Lego fan like me? Growing up, my brothers and I had a bunch of Lego, that we used to build all sorts of stuff with, from buildings and vehicles to animals and all sorts of funky creatures, and everything in between.

Sometimes we’d get some of the various space Lego sets, and those were always some of the coolest sets.

As the years went on, we all grow up, and “put away childish things,” as they say.

But also, as time has gone on, Lego has come out with so many cool sets for everybody, from kids to adults.

For me, there are sets that pique my interest, from a huge Titanic set, to Adidas Superstar running shoes, and my favourite… Star Wars.

There are so many cool sets that allow us to build our favourite vehicles and creatures from the Star Wars Universe, and last week, I picked up a set featuring one of my faves, the Imperial ATST Walker, which made its first appearance in 1980’s “The Empire Strikes Back,” during the battle on the ice planet Hoth.

So, between tidying up around the house, and getting ready to watch the Super Bowl, I got down to work, building my walker.

I started by cracking into the box, to find 586 pieces of Lego goodness.

586 pieces in all. Thanks goodness the set came with instructions!

Then, I got to work building, putting part of it together Saturday night before bed, before finishing it off Sunday morning.

It’s coming along!

And after several hours work, it was done, and I was a happy camper!

I’ve got to say, it turned out awesome!

As you can see, it came with a couple extra little bonuses, including a small Imperial Probe Droid (from “The Empire Strikes Back”), and three small figures – the Walker Driver, a Rebel ground trooper, and Chewbacca!

Chewie looks a little freaky, though!

I’m not sure if Chewie is high on something, scared of being blasted to smithereens by the walker, or if he’s cold from the ice planet Hoth. Whatever it is, he looks frickin’ terrified!

I might have to find some more cool sets to add to my burgeoning collection. Perhaps an AT-AT walker, or a TIE Fighter? Not going to lie – the bad guys do have the best vehicles! Haha!

What is it about Lego that makes it so awesome?

I think ultimately, it’s not just about slapping bricks together—it’s about the journey of creation and discovery.

With each click and snap, you’re building more than just structures; you’re building memories, unlocking your creativity, and finding a little slice of joy, whether it’s a small set that fits in your Christmas stocking, or a bigger more complicated set.

Be it a cozy little house or an out-of-this-world spaceship, LEGO offers a relaxing escape into a world where your imagination takes the lead. And the best part is that it’s fun for all ages. You can build on your own, or with family and frinds, from siblings, to parents and grandparents, to your best pals!

Not to mention, it’s a fun way to unwind and de-stress, whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart. So, grab a set, start building, and let your mind wander.
