Terriers’ Ingram & Mils’ Zacharias among SJHL Player of the Week recipients

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League announced their weekly Player of the Week recipients and six different teams were represented.

Leading the way was Estevan Bruins netminder Ben Polhill who received the MVP of the Week after stopping 62 of 64 shots including a 30 save shutout to help the Bruins sweep the visiting Battlefords North Stars over the weekend.

Staying in the Viterra division, Yorkton Terrier forward Keenan Ingram compiled four points including the OT winner in their wild OT win over Melville to earn Forward of the Week, while Millionaires forward Raiden Zacharias netted his first SJHL Hat Trick in that same, to captured the Sask. born Player of the Week.

 La Ronge Ice Wolves goaltender Graham Brown stopped a whopping 51 of 52 shots to pick up the Goalie of the Week, while sticking up north, Bombers captain Cole Tanchuk had two goals and three points in their weekend sweep over Nipawin, earn the league’s weekly Top Defenceman honours.

Lastly, Kindersley forward and local product Ethan Sautner earned five points over four games to be named SJHL Rookie of the Week.
