Melville Millionaires earn split of Highway 10 battle with home ice victory

The Melville Millionaires got two goals and one assist from leading scorer Caden Drury as they earned a 6-4 victory over the Yorkton Terriers on Saturday night on home ice.

Simon Parini, Peyton Allard, Riley Craigen and Alex Morrison also scored for the Millionaires, while Dustin Renas, Vinay Junek, Keenan Ingram and Aiden Knutson replied for the Terriers.

Loic Morin allowed one goal on six shots before he left with injury, then Nick Genette made 28 saves on 31 shots in relief for the Mils.

Ethan Farrow got the start for the Terriers and allowed five goals on 51 shots in the loss.

The Terriers return to action on Tuesday night visiting the Flin Flon Bombers, while the Moneymen’s next game will be on Friday on the road against the Weyburn Red Wings.
