Hey, everybody! Reader here, and I admit… I’m feeling a little bummed.
After the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, all the office parties, family gatherings and get-togethers with friends, it’s all over, and now it’s back to reality, and back to the usual routine.
For me, however, I’m doing some things to try and keep my spirits up.
This includes keeping my Christmas decorations up a little while longer.
I’ll be honest. It’s common practice for me to leave my tree and decorations up right through the end of January.
Why? Simple.
Because it makes me feel good.
The lights relax me and give me good vibes when I need them. It’s a little thing, but it makes a big difference.
I’ve been looking for some helpful tips to help ward off those pesky post-holiday blues. I put the question to our handy-dandy AI assistant, and here’s what it came up with:
- Savor the Memories: Flip through your holiday pics or watch a favorite holiday movie. Let those warm moments linger a little longer.
- Dream a Little Dream: Start thinking about what you’d love to do this year, whether it’s a hobby or a new place to explore. No rush, just gentle planning.
- Indulge in Self-Care: Sink into a comfy chair with a good book or enjoy a soothing bath. Self-love is the best post-holiday treat.
- Move at Your Pace: Whether it’s a leisurely walk or a stretch session, let your body guide you to what feels good.
- Stay Connected: Arrange a casual coffee meet-up or a chill video chat with friends. Keep the connection easy and light. Remember, there’s no rush. Take it slow and enjoy the journey into a fresh new year.
I definitely plan to indulge in some of those this year. Especially when it comes to self care – something I’ve never been particularly good at.
Maybe this year needs a little more track time!
Maybe I might even find my way back to the gym. I guess we’ll see!
Healthy body + Healthy mind = Healthy Life, right?
The new year is a blank canvas for us all – let’s make the most of it!
