Two local products named to Canada West for 2024 Junior A World Challenge

The 2024 Junior A World Challenge will have a bit of local flavour when it kicks off next week in Camrose.

Lipton’s Connor Miller and Rossburn, Manitoba’s Dru Mushumanski were among the 22 players named to team Canada West on Thursday.

Miller in his second season with the Humboldt Broncos currently has eight goals, 10 assists for 18 points in 23 games this season, while Mushumanski has compiled five goals, eight assists for 13 points in 19 games.

Three other SJHLers’ were named in Flin Flon Bombers duo of Luke Lepper and Koen Senft, as well as Kindersley Klipper defenceman Jaxon Herchak.

Along with Mushumanski, four other MJHL players were named including Steinbach’s Reece Gault, Niverville’s Avery Laliberte, Northern Manitoba’s Marlen Edwards and Pistons forward Jackson Kostiuk.
