Swan Valley Stampeders & Head Coach and GM Barry Wolff agree to part ways

The Swan Valley Junior A Stampeders announced a major shift as Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff has announced his resignation from the organization, effective immediately.

Assistant Coach Darren Webster has stepped into the role of Interim General Manager while Assistant Coach Brad Fox is now acting as Interim Head Coach.

Since joining in 2018/19, Barry has been a force, leading the Stamps to our best season that year and playing a pivotal role in fostering community spirit and player development.

Stampeders President Evan Morden expressed deep gratitude for Barry’s steadfast dedication and leadership during challenging times.

“We would like to thank Barry for his dedication to the Stampeders over the past six years,” said Stampeders President Evan Morden. “He has led the team through some difficult times and proven his dedication and commitment to the organization over and over again. “We wish him nothing but the best going forward.”

Wolff expressed his gratitude for his time spent with the team and in the Valley.

“Thank you to the Swan Valley community, the Stampeders Hockey Club, all the players, the minor hockey organization, and for the corporate and community support,” he said. “It was truly an amazing time and I wish you all the best.”
