Name That Display, with the Yorkton Lions Club, Legacy Co-op, and Cruz FM!

Hey, everybody! Reader here, and I know what you’re thinking…

Christmas is a long way away. Well, not as far as it may seem. We’re a little over two months away from the big day, and the Yorkton Lions Club is teaming up with Legacy Co-op, to bring a huge dose of Christmas cheer to the city.

Don Reed and Denny Vachon from the Lions Club joined Grayson and I this morning, to tell us all about the fantastic new Christmas display they’ll be setting up at the Yorkton City Campground, out by Jaycee Beach, which is similar to the long-running Enchanted Forest display in Saskatoon.

You heard right… they’re looking for someone to come up with a great name for this cool event! All you’ve got to do is click on the “Name That Display” banner on our website to enter. Here’s the link:

https://www.cruzyorkton.com/2024/10/07/legacy-co-op-along-with-the-yorkton-lions-club-name-that-display/

If your suggestion is chosen by the panel of judges, not only will you be able to say you gave a name to Yorkton’s newest holiday tradition, but you’ll also win a $200 Legacy Co-op gift card. With Christmas coming up, just think what you could do with that… Go Christmas shopping. Pick up all the food you need to put on a holiday feast for your family and friends. Gas up your vehicle to do some Christmas travelling. Heck, if you’re really feeling the spirit of the season, you could even donate it to help brighten the holidays of someone less fortunate. It’s totally up to you!

But we’d love to see you put your thinking caps on, and think up a name!

I love Christmas light displays. They really get me feeling the holiday spirit. The beautiful, vibrant colours, the snow on the ground, and the crisp wintery air never fails to get me in the Christmas mood.

And this is an attraction that’s guaranteed to be fun for the entire family. Make sure to get your entries in, and then check it out!
